Helene Glassman

Helene Glassman is an award winning photographer/business woman from Santa Barbara, California. She has been awarded the Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman degrees by Professional Photographers of America and was recognized and awarded "Illustrative Photographer of the Year” for 2002 by Professional Photographers of California and PPA. She is a PPA Certified Professional Photographer, an instructor for National Association of Photoshop Professionals, and has been on the board of governors of the American Society of Photographers. She was also instrumental in the development of the Photographic Business & Arts Degree for the State of California for PPA. Her company, Imagery Photography, has been a well-respected and successful portrait-event studio in Santa Barbara, California since 1982.

Educated in music and art with a Bachelors Degree at the University of Memphis, Helene also earned a degree in photography from The Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara. Her creativity has been rounded out with a Masters degree in communications also from the University of Memphis. Helene is especially well known, in her fine art, for a storytelling and intimate style. Skills perfected in her portrait/event studio enhance her fine art images creating the thread that runs through her work: " Capturing everyday life as she sees it”.
